Evangelism

Jesus said, "go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation".

Sometimes its hard as you don't know what to say and how to share. In this video Jessica Ulrich trains us how to share and how to deal with being rejected when sharing.

Let’s go missions

We have always been passionate about going to the nations and fulfilling the Great Commission. Sending more than 30 missions teams per year to different locations over the world.

As a movement, we have enormous momentum and strength through the work of our mission teams to establish and strengthen our church plants as well as to serve our network and mission contacts in reaching the lost, disciple-making and leadership development.

We are thankful to everyone who has served on a mission team since our ministry started in 1992. Whether it is a scout-intercession mission, reaching the lost or the hosting of a ministry fellowship camp, these teams are sent to countries in order to support existing relationships and even develop some opportunities into a church plants. Through the Shofar Network, more than 1000 churches have access to our discipleship training and materials and our Letsgo mission teams assist them with evangelism and training.

If you would like to participate in one of the strategic missions below, please email us and also keep an eye on our local congregation’s announcements for missions in and from the United Kingdom.

Cyrus Trust

Several years ago Shofar Christian Church set up the Cyrus Trust as a way for the church movement to support NGOs established through the church itself, and also to come alongside others who are working in social and economic development. The trust has fulfilled its mandate well over the years, but in 2013 it was decided that capacity building and networking needed to be included as part of its function.

The Cyrus Trust is an umbrella support structure for a growing number of NGOs, giving administrative support, especially around legal compliance – helping with the approval and appointment of directors and trustees whilst also keeping them accountable to their mission, vision and values. The trust is also there to provide training and networking opportunities, as well as assisting with fundraising.

The NGOs currently included are Prochorus, Kibwe Kids, Relief Life, Inspired2Become, Bridging Abilities, Community Keepers and Amplified. It covers mercy ministry along with training and outreach.

An exciting aspect of the trust is that it will help increase our capacity as a church family to help those in need. Shofar congregations setting up local branches of the NGOs can benefit from the services provided by the trust. Our vision for the coming years is to improve networking, and give guidance and help to NGOs as well as local congregations to build their capacity to better serve those in need.
